Let me share with you the exciting way to a life in Jesus Christ.
Jesus says: "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 "He who is not with me is against me." Luke 11:3
The last words of the Bible are:
"Come! Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life." Revelation 22:17
God does love you and invites you to believe in Him.
"For God so loved the world that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Christ says:
"I came that they might and life and might have it abundantly." (that is, that your life may be full and meaningful!) John 10:10
BUT men (and women) are sinful and separated from God. Without Christ, no one can know and experience God's love and fellowship with Him.
"For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
At first, man was created for God, but because of his own stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way-and the fellowship of God was broken. You, me, and the rest of humanity, rejected God. But, God did a wonderful thing, He sent His only Son so that we could be saved, find life and be cleansed of our sin.
"In this was manifested the love of God toward us. Because God sent his only begotten (one and only) Son into the world, that we might live through Him." 1 John 4:9.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He came to bridge the gap between man and God.
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 3:23
Jesus is God's only provision for sin. Through Him, you can know and experience God's love for you.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us." Romans 5:8
Christ died for me and for you-and incredibly, He rose from the dead!
"Christ died for our sins....He was buried...He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. He appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the twelve. After that, He appeared to more than 500 hundred...." 1 Corinthians 15:3-6
Jesus is the only way to God-and to life!
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'" John 14:6
But, knowing these facts is not enough: you must receive Jesus Christ into your mind and your emotions. (Your heart!) You must believe in Him and Him alone.
"For whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall saved." Romans 10:13
You can come to Christ...right now! God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart, that is, your will and your emotions. The following is a suggested prayer that has been prayed by millions of people:
"Lord Jesus, I need you. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. I know that I am a sinner. Forgive my sins right now. Thank you for forgiving ALL of my sins and please take control of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be."
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If so, pray it right now and Christ will come into your life as He promised.
God is reliable-trustworthy! He created the universe-and He created you. He will do what He says He will do.
"And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, (Jesus!) in order that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:11-13
Right now, take a moment and thank God that Christ is in your life-and that He will never leave you.
That's all there is to it! You are now "in Christ." The promise of God's Word, not your feelings, is your authority. The Christian lives by faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word. Feelings will deceive you and they are undependable. The facts found in the Word of God are the rock-solid promises that you can depend on.
Review for a moment what has happened:
Christ has come into your life.
Your sins are forgiven
You have become a child of God
You have begun the great adventure for which you were created!
Can you think of anything more wonderful? Take a moment, once again and thank Him for what He has done for you. The very act of "thanking God" demonstrates faith!
